he OSS and the RCMRD enter into a Partnership Agreement. Nairobi, February 28, 2023.

This Agreement that aims to improve the development of Earth Observation in support of the sustainable and equitable management of natural resources in Africa, was signed, at the RCMRD headquarters in Nairobi, by Mr. Nabil Ben Khatra, Executive Secretary of the OSS and Mr. Emmanuel Nkurunziza, Director General of the RCMRD, with the presence of the AUC GMES&Africa Program Coordination Unit represented by Dr. Tidiane Ouattara, and the leaders of the GMES&Africa projects implementing institutions and consortia, in the different sub-regions of the continent (West, East, North, Central and Southern Africa).

It is worth mentioning that the Agreement was signed on the occasion of the first GMES&Africa integrated management meeting, organized by the African Union Commission, from February 27 to March 1, 2023 in Nairobi.
