Meeting between OSS and the Embassy of Belgium: Towards a Strengthened Partnership for Environment and Resilience – Tunis, March 13, 2025

The Sahara and Sahel Observatory had the honor of welcoming His Excellency Mr. François DUMONT, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to Tunisia and Libya, for a meeting with Mr. Nabil Ben Khatra, Executive Secretary of the OSS.

This discussion focused on enhancing the partnership between Belgium and the OSS, while exploring new avenues of collaboration in key areas such as water resource management, climate, land degradation prevention, and biodiversity conservation.

It also addressed synergies with Belgian institutions engaged in environmental cooperation, paving the way for strengthened commitments and coordinated actions to tackle pressing ecological challenges.

The OSS expresses its profound gratitude to the Embassy of Belgium for its steadfast commitment and support to initiatives aimed at bolstering the resilience of ecosystems and communities in a region facing major environmental challenges.
