Sustainable management of the Mono River basin : Only one step away from submitting the "BOUCLIER-CLIMAT/MONO" project document to the Adaptation Fund

The Sahara and Sahel Observatory, Regional Implementation Entity of the Adaptation Fund, brought together on November 4, 2022, all the stakeholders of the project with a view to kick-starting the project full proposal drafting process in order to access the Adaptation Fund financing required for its implementation.

The "BOUCLIER-CLIMAT/MONO" project relates to the Mono basin, shared by Benin and Togo and aims to strengthen the resilience of vulnerable communities by building their adaptation capacities to the risks of recurrent floods and promoting sustainable and equitable use and management of water resources and related ecosystems.
The project regional execution partners are the Mono Basin Authority (Lead Agency) and the Global Water Partnership West Africa (Co-execution).

The workshop made it possible to define the roles and responsibilities of every partner working on the project development phase and to recall the Adaptation Fund requirements to approve funding requests.
