The second GMES&Africa workshop convened by the Libyan Center for Remote Sensing and Space Sciences (LCRSSS) in Tunis on November 15 -16, 2021 had the main objectives of identifying the needs of users in Libya in terms of access to data and services developed under GMES in support of sustainable management of water and natural resources and capacity building to guarantee better ownership of the platforms and tools.

This workshop will be followed by a training and initiation session on the MISBAR and MISLAND platforms developed by the consortium, through practical and interactive demonstrations that will be supported by case studies specific to the Libyan context.

Discussions with the Libyan partners will make it possible to collect their feedback and recommendations on GMES products and services to make sure the platforms are fully embraced and consolidate their commitment to the second phase of the GMES&Africa project which is being developed.
